Summer Trots At Richmond
Excellent racing, big crowds and magnificent weather combined to ensure the success of the Nelson Trotting Club's summer meeting at Richmond. Only incident to mar the meeting was a crash in the Appleby Handicap on the second day, and as a result, Red Arion, owned by Mr W. J. Goodyer, of Richmond, had to be destroyed. Major race, the Nelson Cup, was won by a local horse, Anahera, owned by Mr R. T. Court.
