Most Tennis Titles Go North

With the exception of the women's doubles, all major titles of the Nelson Tennis Association's provincial tournament went to North Island players. The women's doubles were won by Miss J. Sara and Mrs B. Soper, of Takaka, who after losing the first set and being down in the second, came back to win the second and final sets, the score being 2-6, 9-7, 6-1.
