Nelson Boys Did Well In South Island Soccer

Nelson retained the Gala cup for the top minor association, in the South Island under-12 soccer tournament, held at Lower Ngawhatu. The tournament was won by Canterbury, with Otago and Nelson second equal. The points were Canterbury 12, Otago and Nelson 11, Southland 9, South Canterbury 7, Marlborough 4, and North Otago and South Otago 1.
