Provincial Title Retained By Mss Low

Not so long ago, any clash between Diane Low and her fellow Nelson golfers was invariably dubbed an encounter of youth and experience; and that was a fair statement. But not now. Miss Low has crammed much top golf into a relatively short career and she is now in the experienced bracket. She retained her Nelson provincial match play title by defeating Mrs Joan Liddle, Totaradale, three and one. In her semi-final, Miss Low had a tough duel with Mrs Joy Helleur, before winning at the 19th. Mrs Liddle beat Mrs Gwen Crossman, three and one, in their semi-final.
