Old family friends were re-united in Nelson, recently. Pat and Merle Cochrane, of Franklin County, and Molly and Roy Glasgow, Nelson, have been friends for many years and when the Cochranes visited the South Island, they stayed with the Glasgows. Pat is the chairman of the Franklin County Council.

"The Press" will no longer be delivered by well-known Carl Stewart, Right, who has retired from the city delivery route after more than 15 years. Through rain, fog, hail and snow "The Press" went through. Carl has given the game away to have a bit of a spell.
