25-Miler to Roger Blaylock

Former Marlborough cyclist Roger Blaylock, now of Nelson, outsprinted a bunch of 17 riders to win the Nelson provincial 25-mile road cycling championship by half a length. Second was Byron Le Vavasour, who edged out Trevor Cameron, third. Cameron won the junior title. The finish was so close that only three seconds separated the first 17.
