Nicki Does It Again-But For The Last Time

For the third time in only five years, Nelson's Miss Nicki Campbell has won the national women's golf title. But it will probably be her last, for next year she is to be married and will live in Australia. The New Zealand championship meeting at the Nelson club's course at Tahuna, attracted the Dominion's top women golfers, and with the course in excellent condition, and the organisation near perfect, the-tournament was an outstanding success. Nicki was far from her best in the early stroke rounds, but she recovered to play near-par golf in the match rounds, ending the tournament by beating Mrs Valerie Cullen (Invercargill) 9 and 7 over 36 holes.
