Mrs M. M. Winstanley of Green Street, Tahunanui, doesn't have a formula for growing potatoes but that doesn't stop her from being successful. That spud Mrs Green is holding weighs 2¼lbs, and the ones in the barrow are up to 2lbs

Reunited are Sally Lewis and her pony Lisa. Sally and her family arrived here in November and Lisa had to stay in England. But only for a short time. Recently Lisa, a half Arab, arrived in Nelson by air after reaching Wellington by boat. After being a member of the Lewis family for four years it would've been tough to have been left behind

Trophy winners at the Monaco Boat Club's social and presentation recently were, front: Carol Trewavas (women's skiing), Gil Frost (biggest fish, a 21lb 4oz snapper) and Susan Rhodes (youngest skier in the marathon event and junior women's). Back: Brendan Power (junior slalom and handicap slalom), John McCliskie (men's overall and men's slalom), Peter Skinner (under 50hp boat race) and Tony Shuttleworth (open power boat)
