National Schoolgirls' Softball
Auckland reversed the result of last year's final of the national schoolgirls' softball final when it scored a fine 4-3 win over defending champion Waikato, in a thrilling final. Twelve teams competed. This was the second successive year that Nelson has hosted the tournament.
