Boys' Soccer Awards
Cups and trophies won during the year by lower grade soccer teams were presented by the Deputy Mayor (Miss Betsy Walter) at the association's evening for the youngsters.
The under 14 Nelson team which won the major and minor associations' cups at tournament this year. Back, Ken Wadsworth, Lee Savage, Colin Peacock, John Reid, Errol Rush, Wally Olyken. Front, Brian Hearfield, Jim Proudfoot (capt), Danny Beattie, Dennis Rodger.
Waimea College won Junior first division, received by Hans Gerritsen
Junior second division won by Waimea College, award received by Brian Hearfield
Waimea intermediate won junior third grade, Robert Packer received trophy.
Hospital won junior fourth grade and Billy Baker took possession of cup.
