Latest addition to the bigger pleasure craft at Nelson, is the Hine te Moana, a 42ft twin diesel cabin cruiser that can sleep eight. This beautiful craft is the property of Bert and Eric Hawkins, of Richmond, For 2 1/2 years, and with no previous experience, they worked to complete the boat. The cost? "Haven't any idea," said Bert, "If we'd taken an account of cost it would have frightened us off building it." Immediately above is a proud Bert just before the boat is slipped at Nelson.
