'Come On, it's for Rugby'

When "Photo News" approached a group of rugby officials at the recent coaching seminar conducted by the Buccaneers Rugby Club and asked for co-operation for a photograph, Denis Young did not hesitate. "Come on, it is for rugby." If this admirable attitude, displayed by the former All Black hooker for seven years, was adopted by all rugby officials throughout New Zealand the sport would be revitalised.

Coaching schools as organised by the Buccaneers give the code a tremendous boost. This school was held at Nayland College and catered for more than 150 boys from Collingwood to Murchison and Marlborough.
