Popular Pair Push On

Nelson has lost two of its radio personalities. Sports commentator Alan Paterson has taken the position of programme executive officer with the New Zealand Broadcasting Authority, and Lindsay Yeo whose cheery voice greeted thousands every morning, has transferred to the head office of the N.Z.B.C., in Wellington. Both will be missed and we are sure Nelson wishes them all the best in their new ventures.

Long standing offsider to Alan was that well known figure in bowls Jack McMahon who voluntarily assisted Alan for about 15 years. One of Jack's key roles in rugby announcing was keeping statistics

Behind every successful man there is a woman, and tribute to Mrs to Alan's work was paid by several speakers at the farewell function
