Anikiwa Adventure

Three hundred and twenty Scouts from Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast and Manawatu attended an adventure camp at Anakiwa in the Marlborough Sounds during the holidays. During the week the boys participated in canoeing, bush walking, cliff climbing, shooting, orienteering (a form of crosscountry running using maps and compasses) and other activities. By the end of the camp they were worn out, but many had learnt they could accomplish a lot more, when they had to, than they had previously thought possible.
