A Triumph for Experience

Experience triumphed over youth when the Nelson women's provincial match play golf championships were decided at Tahunanui last month. Miss Dianne Low, a youngster with a tremendous golfing future ahead of her, succumbed to the steady play and experience of Mrs Molly Mace, who won the match play title for the first time. Earlier Miss Low beat the reigning champion, Joyce Helleur, 3 and 2, while Mrs Mace had struggles to win two of her earlier matches. In the final, Mrs Mace went into an early lead and didn't lose it, to win 3 and 2.
