Friends and relatives of Les and Jessie Mytton met at the home of their daughter, Mrs D. S. Thomas, 17 Kea Street, to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Mytton. They were married at Dovedale and lived most of their life in that area.

Jim Morgan, professional attached to the Greenacres Club, has become the Nelson Club's professional. As such, however, he will continue to service the country clubs with coaching and will coach all district players at the Nelson course. Jim also intends, before Christmas, to take on an apprentice who will be taught all facets of work of a club professional.
