The Search For Oil

For a number of weeks now the landscape in the rugged Blackwater Valley area near Murchison has been dominated by this 500-ton, $1 million dollar oil rig drilling the Bounty No. 1 well. It's programmed to drill 4500ft. and when we went to press the depth had passed this figure.
