Our Cover

Gracing our front cover this month, in a real pastoral setting, is the New Zealand Pastoral Queen of 1970, Nelson's own Helena Wren. Helena went forward to the final of this contest as the representative of the "Top of the South Island". And what a very worthy national representative she will be-a wonderful personality, good looks and a brain filled with facts on New Zealand and its agricultural background. Congratulations, Helena.

Back Cover - Our back cover is devoted to autumn, which has now passed. We spotted this idyllic little scene from the road near Mapua and felt the slog through soaking paddocks well worth the effort.
