Newton and Nellie Nalder, of 175 Haven Road, who recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. They were married in Wellington but have lived in Nelson most of their married life.

Charlie and Edith Richards, 25 Wainui Street, who recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary at their home. They have lived in Nelson since 1908. Mrs Richards (nee Schwass) has lived in the province all her life. Mr Richards came from Christchurch.

Mrs Phyllis Yakovlev, and her family, Anton, Mizshka and Andre, paid a quick visit to Nelson recently. While here they stayed with Mrs Yakovlev's sister, Mrs Joan Higgins, 188 Moana Avenue. Mrs Yakovlev, before her marriage, was Phyllis Stewart, who studied the piano and painting in Nelson. She recently held an exhibition of her works in Paris, now her home.
