Museum Appeal Ends

Mrs Molly Abrahams (the "Gold Lady") was proclaimed "Queen of Isel" when the Isel Museum fundraising campaign closed last month. She and her committee raised more than the other two ladies, but all put in a tremendous effort to raise $13,000 during the last month. The target set was $30,000. The appeal closed with the three ladies riding side-saddle to the appeal headquarters in Trafalgar Street, where the "Queen of Isel" was proclaimed with due pomp and ceremony.
