New R.S.A. Building

Nelson R.S.A. members had the opportunity recently of seeing the artist's impression of a new headquarters for Nelson R.S.A. The association plans to build the new clubrooms in sections over, possibly, a 10-year period. It is hoped to commence with the first section shortly, depending on the size of tenders (which closed last week). The first section provides for a new secretary's office and ladies' lounge on the ground floor. Later, by means of a cantilever construction, it is proposed to build the second storey section above the existing building, thereby allowing the club rooms to be used continuously throughout the rebuilding.
