Another Transport Takeover

The "Nelson Evening Mail" lost a senior reporter and the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation news service gained a new sub-editor last month. Transferring to Wellington was Bernard Griffin, his wife Elizabeth, and children Gabrielle, Matthew and Simone. Bernie had been with the "Mail" five years.

On transfer to St. Mary's parish, Nelson, is the Rev. Father Pat Kinsella (nope, no relation to the former Minister). Father Kinsella has been a teacher at St. Paul's Maori Boys' College, Feilding, for the last 17 years.

The latest transport organisation in Nelson to be taken over by Transport (Nelson) Holdings is Radiata Transport, a subsidiary of Direct Transport Holdings Ltd, Rotorua. Radiata Transport holds the contract for the carriage of logs to the chip mill and the chips to Port Nelson. Part of the company's fleet is shown here at its Richmond base.
