Chandler-Young. Anthony Chandler came "over the hill" recently to take a bride, but the couple have returned to Blenheim to live. The bride was Sambrene, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. A. Young, 369 Wakefield Quay, Nelson. Anthony is a son of Mr and Mrs A. Chandler, Dillon Street, Blenheim. They were attended by Elizabeth McLean, Nelson, chief maid, Murray Gee, Blenheim, best man, Mary Kerr, Blenheim, and Lester Dunkinson, also of Blenheim. (Geoffrey C. Wood Photo).

Manson-Brooks. At St. Luke's Union Church, Nelson, Inez Marie, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. F. Brooks, 14 Tukuka Street, to Harold Peter, son of Mr and Mrs R. G. Manson, 44 Green Street, Tahunanui. Attending the couple were Ian Manson, Nelson, brother of the groom, Jennifer Brooks, Wakefield, matron of honour, Joe Brooks, Wakefield, brother of the bride, best man, and Eleanor Williams, Inangahua. Karen Brooks, Wakefield, niece of the bride, was flower-girl. They will make their home at Stoke. (Rod Neill Studio).

Skerten-Wells. Christchurch is to be the new home of Christine Margaret, daughter of Mr and Mrs P. J. Wells, 30 Tosswill Road, Nelson, who recently married Anthony Charles, son of Mr and Mrs C. G. W. Skerten, Christchurch. Attendants at their wedding at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, were Anne Gallagher, Christchurch, chief maid, Terry (best man) and Gary Skerten, Christchurch, brothers of the groom, and Sue Edridge, Nelson.
