Jim and Ethel Paulsen, of 23 Taupata Street, Stoke, who celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner party for friends and relatives.

Mr E. F. Stigley, a foundation member of the Nelson Intermediate School teaching staff when the school was first opened in 1951, is still on the school staff and commencing his 20th year of teaching at the school. He is the only member of the original staff still teaching at the school.

John and Ethel Evans, of 82 Russell Street, Nelson, who celebrated their golden wedding anniversary recently, were guests of honour at a party given in their honour by Mrs Gladys Parkes, Richmond. Flanking them are their grand-daughter, Mandy, and son, Allan Evans, who flew from Timaru for the celebrations.
