Kaiteriteri Karnival Kapers

The day was not the sunniest that Kaiteriteri had experienced during the holiday season, but it was warm and later in the afternoon became very hot. But who cared! There was so much on, all of it arranged and organised by Motueka Jaycee, that the overhead conditions counted for little. The very big crowd camped at Kaiteri, and an influx of local visitors, swelled numbers at the beach to tremendous proportions. They came to take part in the fishing contest, the swimming races, tugs-o'-war and beauty contests. A wonderful day out on the golden sands.
