Beach Car Racing

Straw from a broken bale strewn across the inside of the eastern bend sent Nelson's Ross Hore and his 1498 cc Anglia flipping, during the second day of the Nelson Car Club's two-day beach meeting at Tahunanui. The car siid off the straw, struck sand ruts and flipped. Fortunately nobody was injured. Our two pix Above show the incident as it occurred. For the record, Pete Leversedge (Chch) won the New Zealand beach title (Below).
