An Oscar for the Arts Ball

"And the Oscar, for the ball of the year? Undoubtedly the Arts Ball". The verdict is ours, and we're sure that all who attended "A Night in Hollywood" - the theme for this year's ball - will agree with this decision. Many, varied and at times outlandish were the costumes worn, the characters portrayed and the stars imitated. One of the best was Groucho Marx (John Barraud), above. Directing operations was Mike Allison (top right) as Romeo and Juliet (Joyce and David MacKenzie) got on with the balcony scene (right). And Deborah Gotto (below) was a realistic Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde infamy.
