Tin Hat Club Bows Out

The Nelson Tin Hat Club, which has entertained thousands of people since the end of the Second World War with its shows, announced at the end of the 1969 production that there would be no more. To wind up the club's "dress" activities, a sociaj evening was held recently and at it we got these pix.

Nelson M.P., Mr Stan Whitehead is in good company here, flanked by a disguised Wally Duff and a recognisable Betty Blain.

×

A rakish Captain Bill Simm with Ann Tout who had just received a "good service" award.

×

Under that beard and medals is Neil Good-man.

×

Pam Lukies and Alan Deas are amused.

×

Ailsa and Tim Kinzett were there. Which is Tim?

×

And wog-type Dick Tout and his cobber, Ralph Heslop, also find the situation quite amusing (at least Ralph does - don't know about Dick).

One of the real "screams" of Tin Hat shows has always been Dot Goodman. Looks here as if she's still screaming.
