N.Z. Universities' Good Win

The visiting New Zealand Universities' team proved too good for Nelson in a fast and very interesting game at Nayland College recently. The visitors owed much to the tall Auckland player G. Wood (top left) who scored almost at will when under the basket. Nelson did well to stay very close to Universities for the major part of the first half, but began to fall behind as the pressure was applied in the second half and the Universities' defences tightened. Universities won 94-72.
