Triumphant Return
The Nelson under-14 soccer team which won the minor associations' trophy at the South Island tournament at Christchurch, was welcomed home by a big group of supporters. The team, all of whom are shown with the deputy-Mayor (Mrs B. R. Eyre) at right, just failed to win the major associations' trophy when, in extra time, it was beaten by a corner. The boys left of the stairway are members of the Nelson under-14 B side.
