Junior Judo Titles

Junior judoka from the Seddon Shield districts competed for central area titles in Nelson recently. As well as attracting big entries, the championships also enlivened interest among the public, judging by the crowds which watched the events.

Nelson Judo Club instructor, Mr Cecil O'Beirne, chats to some of the wee lassies who shortly afterwards would be tossing each other all over the place.

Which part belongs to which we have no idea. But the two who are hard at it are two Motueka boys, Ross Satherley and Gary Bradley.
