B. & P. Women's Conference
The 16th biennial conference of Business and Professional Women took place in Gisborne at the Queen's Birthday weekend and was a resounding success. More than 250 delegates and observers attended the conference.
Miss Dorothy Ritchie, Gisborne, was elected the new national president. She is seen here receiving the insignia of office from the immediate past president, Mrs Lorraine Harrison-Lee. At right is Miss Greita Clifford-Jones, also of Gisborne, who was elected honorary secretary for the national federation.
Present at the conference was Miss Patience Thorns, president of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women.
