"I Remember mama"

"I Remember Mama", the play by John Van Druten, is not recommended for amateur production. But there was little amateurish about the performance of the main characters of the play presented by the Drama Club of the Nelson College for Girls earlier this month. "Mama" (Marie Green), above, was quite outstanding, as was Uncle Chris (Paul Wulff), seen at top right talking about a dowry with Mr Thorkelson (Charles Jones) who also gave an excellent performance. The story of Mama was told and acted by Katrine (Elizabeth Haley), right. The snooty and rather catty Aunts Sigrid and Jenny (below), Jane Tucker and Rosemary Keith, were well portrayed by both girls.
