News From Home

This month we're acting on two letters received from readers. The first came from Southport, Gold Coast, Australia, and contained a picture (far left) of Gary Lauder, son of Mrs and the late Mr David Lauder, 10 Alton Street. Gary is a security officer for the South-port Metropolitan Security Service and once worked in Nelson for Stiles and Co. Nice to see you, Gary. In return, we print a pic, for you, of mum and grandson Shane, and your young brother, Alan, Incidentally, Gary, mum is expecting a letter from you any day now. Nice to hear, you enjoy 'Photo News".

The second letter caste from Napier, from Gladys Sinclair, an ex-Nelsonian and daughter of Mr and Mrs S.Cooper, 93 Main Road, Tahunanui. Seems that Mr and Mrs Cooper have daughter Dorothy (Mrs Beauford) living in Perth, and that both daughters would be delighted to see mum and dad in "News from Home". We've gone one better. Above, we got mum and dad« (Stan and Letty), brothers Don and Bob, sister-in-law Lynnette with wee Sharyn and your old pet, Dorothy Suzie, on mum's knee. And below them, folks, are the two daughters concerned, Dorothy and Gladys.

Leaving Nelson for Christ-church after 30 years here, are Phyllis and Bill Taylor. They have a son and daughter-in-law in Marick-ville, Sydney, and a son and daughter in Christchurch. Sydney-siders are Barry and Jenny Taylor.
