The sprightly 98-year-old at left is Mr Alexander ("Uncle") Halkett, father of mine host at the Wakatu Hotel, Ron Halkett, who's holding his grand-daughter, Debbie Geary, of Riwaka. Her mother, Coleen, is also there.

Honours List
Our pic of Mr Ralph Lilly in last month's issue (a copy of a very small picture) scarcely did him credit. So, we took this one of him recently. Mr Lilly was awarded an M.B.E. in the New Year honours list.

Dunnage-Withell. Mr and Mrs John Dunnage who were married recently. The bride was formerly Cleone Withell, Kaiteriteri. They have made their home in Greymouth.
