Gisborne's first "Miss Personality", Miss Rosalie Scandrett, pictured modelling the wares of Paramount Millinery Ltd. On August 30th, Rosalie commenced a 12 months' trip overseas when she embarked on the "Northern Star" bound for England.

Mrs A. Robinson, Matawai, pictured holding her prize-winning overnight bag, and the Robert Young Cup which it won in the Dominion Federation of N.Z. Country Women's Institutes' overnight bag competition. Mrs Robinson, who is president of the Rakauroa C.W.I., was attending the biennial conference in Wellington.

Mr Earl Nikora, Otorohanga, and his wife, who was formerly Miss K. Collier, of Tokomaru Bay, and who taught at the Te Araroa Maori District High School, In 1960, Earl was N.Z. amateur middle--weight boxing champion, and has since turned professional. Last month he became light-heavyweight champion of N.Z. when he knocked out Johnny Nomura in the sixth round of a 15 round contest at Rotorua.
