Plaque Unveiled

A plaque in memory of the late Mr H. J. F. Tombleson, for 34 years a member of the Cook Hospital Board, was unveiled last month at the entrance of the new Francis Tombleson Ward at Cook Hospital.

The plaque was unveiled by Mrs E. W. Tombleson, widow of Mr H. J. F. Tombleson. The principal speaker at the ceremony was the Minister for Health, Mr D. N. McKay. Other speakers were Mr J. B. Williams, the Board chairman, and Mr T. W. Tombleson.

The late Mr Tombleson was deputy chairman of the Board for 13 years, and his total local body service totalled 84 years.

Mr T. W. Tombleson, husband of Mrs Esme Tombleson, M.P., was a speaker at the ceremony.
