Pictured with the on hooks judge, Mr W. G. A. Morley, is the winning carcass in the Gisborne-East Coast chiller beef contest, which was described by many as the best yet to be sent from the district. Owned by Mr S. N. Smith, the carcass is to represent the district at the 1962 competition in London.
