Mr J. A. (Tony) Kirk, of the Child Welfare Department, who has been transferred to Whakatane, is seen here before his departure with Mrs Kirk and their two children.
Mr and Mrs Charles Davidson, of Auckland. were recent holiday visitors to Gisborne. Mrs Davidson was formerly Miss Mavis Holmes, well known in musical circles here as a violinist.
Mr L. H. Barber, B.A., who has been the "summer supply" minister at Te Hapara Presbyterian Church, and who is studying for the ministry at Dunedin, is pictured with Mrs Barber and their two children.
The Rev.R. Ladd, son of Mr and Mrs A. Ladd, Wainui Beach, seen at his ordination into the Anglican clergy. He is now at Rotorua.
The "summer supply" minister at the Ormond Presbyterian Church parish was Mr Peter Marshall, from North Otago, who was formerly a sheep farmer.
Also entering the ministry with the Anglican church at Dannevirke is Mr Arnold Chalmers, of Russell Street, pictured with his wife and two of their three children.
