Dressage School

Fifteen horse-riders from the Poverty Bay-Hawkes Bay districts attended the New Zealand Horse Society's dressage school at Wairoa. The six day course on equestrian dressage was instructed by Mr F. Malringer who is one of the leading instructors in Australasia. Of Austrian birth, he was a pupil of the famed Spanish Riding School in Vienna, and has been in Australia for 9 years where he trained the riding team which won four medals at the Rome Olympics.
