Wedding Bells

Hatwell--Proffit. At St, Paul's Church, Kaiti, Elizabeth, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. R. Proffit, Steele Road, Tamarau, to Philip Montgomery, son of Mr and Mrs P. C. Hatwell, 341 Ormond Road. The attendants from left were Bob Butterworth (best man), Lois Hatwell, sister of the groom (chief maid), David and Prudence Proffit, brother and sister of the bride. Future homes Gisborne.

Priestly--Pilmer. At the Church of the Latter Day Saints, Dianne, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Pilmer, Matawai, to John, son of the late Mr and Mrs T. Priestly, Matawai. The attendants from left were Hector Riki, Mrs Margaret Pratt, sister of the groom, Jean Pilmer, sister of the bride (chief maid), and Bill Brown (best man). All the attendants were from Matawai, where the bride and groom also intend to make their home.

Middleton--Bicknell. At the Holy Trinity Church, Patricia Joan, daughter of Mrs M. L. Bicknell, 83 Ormond Road, and the late Mr K. Bicknell, to Eric Brian, son of the late Mr and Mrs J. Middleton, Lyndhurst Street. The bride was attended by her cousins, from left, Mrs Lillian Bicknell, Miss Carol Bicknell, Rosemary Bicknell (flowergirl), and Mrs Shirley Morison (matron of honour).
