Magnificent Home For Girl Guides

At Omatua, Rissington, near Napier, Girl Guides from the whole East Coast have a camping centre without equal.

This beautiful homestead, formerly the home of Mr and Mrs Richard Absolom, who gave it to the Guides, is a fine old kauri building set in spacious grounds, with a very nice stream nearby. The whole property is ideal for the purpose to which it will now be put.

On March 17 Gisborne Girl Guides will hold a garden party at the Vicarage grounds to raise funds, partly for the maintenance of the building, and partly to assist guides to attend camps there.
