Yachting Season Opens

The beautiful weather of Labour weekend provided Gisborne "yachties" with a variety of conditions over their three-day opening-of-the-season regatta. Strong winds on the Sunday made for exciting racing conditions, and the pick-up boat was kept busy.

Entries were plentiful in the P class, which was run in three divisions. There were 10 starters in the Cherub class.
