"South Pacific"

Next Wednesday sees the first performance in the Opera House of the Gisborne Operatic Society's 1961 presentation, Rodgers and Hammerstein's famous musical, "South Pacific". With production by Jack Roderick and a talented cast of local players, the show promises to live up to the high standard of recent productions from the society.

Pictures on these pages were taken by "Photo News" when the entire company went "on location" recently at Tatapouri.

"South Pacific" will be presented in the Opera House for a season of ten nights and a matinee.
