Jaycees have a grimy job ahead of them to spruce up the "Wa" class 2-6-2T locomotive (see Page 2).

Whenever a Japanese ship comes into harbour there is usually at least one crew member who is an expert at judo, and happy to demonstrate the art for the local enthusiasts.

William Pettie Bridge, closed to vehicular traffic now for seven years, is still in use for foot and cycle traffic and for stock. Lately the bridge has been under repair.
