Best of Year's Work

"Lively" and "colourful" were adjectives used to describe this year's showing of pictures by Gisborne artists when the annual exhibition of new work was opened in the Art Gallery last week. The display is now open to the public, and merits a close inspection by all lovers of art.

In his opening address the Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker, paid a tribute to the work of the Arts Society, and said that the public should support artists who were producing work of the standard seen in this exhibition.
