The three citizens who sought the injunction have asked us to correct a possible misunderstanding arising from a report in last "Photo News". They point out that "the Council's decision is not just one for the re-siting of a few flower-beds, or the filling of a few pathways. The decision goes the length of eliminating "Botanical Gardens" from the Gisborne Town Plan, and the Council is at present acting to attain this end".
