The "Open" cup, symbol of supremacy in the P.B. Ladies' Golf Club open tournament, was won this year by Mrs R. J. Watts, of Gisborne Park Club. Mrs Watts, who won the N.Z. Women's Veteran Tournament in 1956, suffered an accidental leg injury in 1958, which caused her withdrawal from the game. Her win this year, after a long and painful recovery, was a source of great pleasure to her many golfing friends.
