New Library Opened
In the evening, a model of the sacred Takitimu canoe was presented to Rear Admiral Phipps.
Later in the afternoon, Wairoa's new Centennial Memorial Library was opened by Mr Gotz. Picture shows the Minister speaking at the opening ceremony, with the building in the background. The lower picture was taken inside the spacious new building after the opening ceremony.
