A view of the drilling site, showing preparations made as at last weekend. The enormous drilling rig from Mangaone will be transferred to the site in sections.
At left are the famous Te Reinga falls, spray from which can be seen rising from the ravine into which the combined Hangaroa and Ruakituri rivers cascade. Nearer to the camera is the Te Reinga pa. In centre, the junction of the two rivers, is the suspension bridge on the Ruakituri Road, leading into the valley, right centre.
